The modern reef aquarium is an enclosed eco system in miniature that with good husbandry replicates a natural coral reef enviroment and as such 'lives'. Many of the life forms that call our reef tanks home are far too small to see with the naked eye and often go unnoticed.
The NanoScope allows the hobbyist to venture into this hidden world and observe tiny marine creatures and natural feeding behaviours of corals. This can give better understanding of long term coral care and how micro fauna can influence the over all health of our systems.
Within the last few years hobbyists have also been made aware of various coral pests that can plague a reef tank and quickly decimate coral stocks. These tiny creatures are often no more than the size of a pin head and are easily missed resulting in misdiagnosis and the hobbyist blaming the losses on their own husbandry.

The water leakage sensor detects water that has leaked onto the floor where the aquarium is located: based on programming, certain functions will be activated or deactivated, minimizing damage.

It can detect both soft and salt water leaks. The sensor requires the relative interface (ACQ210N-WL) to be connected to the system.

The Water Leakage Interface connects the system to one or more water leakage sensors. By using this interface combined with the relevant water leakage sensor (code ACQ320), connected multioutlets can be controlled and alarm signals can be sent.

The alarms can also be sent via e-mail and SMS if the relevant Ethernet or GSM modules are connected to the system (in case of Aquarium Controller System).

TMC Filter Bags / Socks

Tropical Marine Centre supplies a comprehensive range of low cost mechanical bag filters which offer low cost and highly versatile mechanical filtration for freshwater and saltwater systems.

Bags are ideal for use as pre-filters to main filtration systems and are easily added to existing systems to increase mechanical filtration capacity.

Bags can be washed repeatedly for long service life, but we recommend that they are replaced regularly depending on application.

Felt media (polyester or polypropylene) bags provide depth filtration and have a high solid collection capacity. All felt filter bags are singed (this is where the fibre hairs are melted by the application of high heat) on one side to eliminate fibre migration.
The PosiGuard flanged bags employ a top lid for added convenience and positive sealing and have built-in handles for ease of removal, making bag changes easier and cleaner.

The Posiguard flange design locates the bag into the filter face and locks it in place for positive sealing.

Maintenance Tip
Filter bags require regular cleaning to operate effectively - the amount of maintenance required will vary from system to system depending on various factors such as feeding regimes. Failure to maintain the bags will result in them becoming clogged and water overspilling the bags, along with the associated solids.

The best results are achieved by turning them inside out and pressure washing, however spraying with a hose will suffice. It is recommended that bags are replaced on a regular basis as, over time, there will be a build up of deposits in the filter material which will result in ineffective filtration and increased cleaning requirements.

The bag size required will be dependant on the application. However it can sometimes be beneficial to combine different sized bags to reduce cleaning frequency. 400 micron bags can also be utilized to house filtration media such as carbon.

Wave Monarka is a revolutionary external filter with a separate mechanical
filtration system.
Thanks to the special pre-filter module it will be possible to satisfy all
filtering needs by greatly simplifying maintenance. Suspended impurities
will be intercepted by the pre-filter which, via a simple operation, can be
washed without removing the central filter. Not only does this save time, it
also creates advantages for the bacterial flora, which will not be

ReVive Coral Cleaner
Two Little Fishies ReVive Coral Cleaner™ is a new product developed by Julian Sprung for cleansing live stony corals. It is a surface cleaning formula based on plant extracts. Use for all general purpose live coral cleansing, as a part of acclimation to aquariums when corals are first received, for rinsing prior to shipping, and for rinsing newly fragmented corals, such as at coral farming facilities. 500 ml (16.8 fl oz) bottle.

When to use: Designed for all general purpose live coral cleansing, including the acclimation of live corals to aquariums, and rinsing newly fragmented corals.

Directions: Mix 4 capfuls (40ml) of ReVive per gallon (3.8 L) of clean saltwater in a bucket or other container suitable for bathing coral. Wash coral in this mixture for a few minutes, while gently swirling it or using an air stone for agitation. After the bath, remove coral from the ReVive/saltwater mixture and place it in a saltwater aquarium with moderate water flow. The ReVive/saltwater mixture may be used again for cleaning several corals, but it should be discarded after 1 hour of use.

Note: For cleaning live corals only. ReVive is not a medication, nor is it intended to be a substitute for any medication. Not for use as a household cleaner. Not for human consumption. Not intended for use with fish intended for human consumption.

Keep out of reach of children: Keep cap tightly sealed. In case of contact, wash immediately from skin and clothing with plain soap and water. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Drink a full glass of water, and call a physician. Irritating to eyes upon contact. In case of eye contact, flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.

Post Acclimation & Newly Fragged Coral Directions: Mix 4 capfuls (40ml) of ReVive per gallon (3.8 L) of clean saltwater in a bucket or other container suitable for bathing coral. Do not overdose! Wash coral in this mixture for 2-3 minutes and then rinse in fresh saltwater to remove any residue. Place newly dipped coral into aquarium or quarantine tank.

The ReVive/saltwater mixture may be used again for cleaning several corals, but it should be discarded after 1 hour of use. Never add ReVive directly into your aquarium!

Damaged Coral Instructions: Mix 4 capfuls (40ml) of ReVive per gallon (3.8 L) of clean saltwater in a bucket or other container suitable for bathing coral. Do not overdose! Remove any deteriorating flesh from the coral with a soft brush. Wash coral in this mixture for 2-3 minutes and then rinse in fresh saltwater to remove any residue. Place newly dipped coral into aquarium or quarantine tank.
Infected Coral Instructions: Mix 4 capfuls (40ml) of ReVive per gallon (3.8 L) of clean saltwater in a bucket or other container suitable for bathing coral. Do not overdose! Wash coral in this mixture for 2-3 minutes and then rinse in fresh saltwater to remove any residue. Place newly dipped coral into aquarium or quarantine tank.

ReVive can be used to treat Acropora Eating Flatworms, Little Red Bugs, Montipora and Zoanthid Eating Nudibranchs, Planaria Flatworms, Sundial Snails and many other parasitic pests. Please note that ReVive will not kill the eggs of many of these species and multiple treatments may be required. For best use, quarantined your corals and examine them daily for signs of infestation. Repeat treatment as necessary.

1100 mg/l of Magnessium
370 mg/l Calcium.
The Mag and Calcium additives allows you to increase these values to optimum levels of:
1350 Mg and
430 Calcium.
Each 1 ml of either addative is equivelent to150 mg.
