Terms and condtions !!<<B>STM Standard Terms and Conditions</B> Understanding These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer but are explained here so that our policies are clearly stated.
All items priced within this website are inclusive of VAT (17.5%) where applicable.
Every effort is made to ensure same day despatch, and you should receive your order within 3 days dependent on shipping method. If your item is not in stock then we will back order it for you.
All goods remain the property of the STM until paid for in full
All goods within this website carry manufacturers full guarantees and warranties
STM reserves the right to repair or replace any damaged item at its discretion
Prices charged are those ruling at the time of order and the STM reserves the right to alter prices and specifications as they may be made by manufacturers or competitors
Please advise within 2 days of receipt of order with any missing. If an item is out of stock then the invoice will clearly state 'To Follow' in which case you do not need to contact us and we will ship the outstanding item as soon as we obtain it.
STM denies any liability for any consequential loss caused by damaged or faulty items, delay in despatch or delays by carriers. In the unlikely event of a delivery not arriving on time, your extra delivery charge will be refunded. However we cannot accept any liability involving third party contractors and would advice that no arrangements be made for installation until you are in receipt of your order
STM do not disclose buyers information to third parties except for delivery details provided to our couriers. Our website does use cookies, however these are only used to enable you to place items within your shopping cart.
Returns Policy:
The returns policy that STM operates complies with The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations of 2000.
In the event that goods are faulty or broken when received then you should notify STM within 2 days by emailing
We will then organise with you the return of the goods to us at our expense, and arrange for replacement goods or components to be sent to you.
In the event that the consumer decides that the goods ordered are not what he or she wants, then an email message stating this must be sent to chris@s-t-m.co.uk within 7 days of the receipt of the goods. We will only accept these goods if they are returned in unused and new condition. We will then undertake the refund of the purchase price. It is the customer's responsibility to pay for the return of the goods.
STM guarantees all goods sold upon it's website for a minimum of 1 year from the date of delivery (with the exception of perishable items such as fish foods). Where this period is longer than 1 year, the length of guarantee will be stated upon the product's box by the manufacturer. In the event that goods become faulty within the specificied guarantee period, notification should be sent to chris@s-t-m.co.uk. This notification should state the order number for the original purchase of the goods and the fault that the customer has encountered. We will then contact you to confirm that we are aware of your problem, and if appropriate dispatch replacement parts. If necessary, the customer may have to return the faulty goods to STM. On these occasions the customer is responsible for the costs of returning the goods. Once received we will repair or replace these goods and redeliver them to you free of charge
Online Ordering The stm-shop website allows you to purchase your favorite products securely online.
COLD WEATHER During the colder months of the year we reserve the right to delay shipping, which we will inform you of. Also grazer packs that normally ship for £6.00 next day will attract an upgrade cost to AM Delivery for winter is £14.50 am. This is to ensure the best conditions for the animals. We would also like to point out that shipping a single animal such as a Mithrax crab is not viable, even with heat packs and thermal boxes so perhaps look at order pooling with a friend to make up a box.
If you wish to have the order part shipped then please state on the additional instructions box at the check out. Also if you wish the delivery to be made on a specific day/date please state this on the instructions.
Live Goods We have shipped many corals and inverts over the years and have a good reputation for getting your new corals to you alive and in good condition. Please follow the guidelines below to help.
1. We only ship live good on am delivery cost per 20kg box is £14.50 this ensures the best for the animal and the customer and allows us to offer alive on arrival gaurantee
2. Please read the acclimatisation guide included with your new stock, as it is important to give a longer acclimatisation than when purchasing locally.
3. We request that someone be present to receive live goods.
4. All DOA's must be notified on the day of delivery.
Proper Acclimatisation When acclimatising animals after shipping please give a long slow drip feed for around 40 minutes. This is after floating the bag for around 30 minutes to equalise temperature. Remember grazers are probably more sensitive than fish in this respect.
Order Pooling If you would like to share the freight cost with a friend or perhaps you are a local club we can work out special shipping deals for multiple orders shipped to a single location.
Credit Cards We never charge cards before the order is dispatched. The card details are sent to us securely and processed off line. The site is fully encrypted for your greater security. When entering payment details please double check the number and date entered as if the number is incorrect or the card expired we will have to contact you delaying the dispatch of your order.Switch Cards please provide the card issue number in the additional instructions box at the checkout.STM will not supply your details to other trading companies, although from time to time we may contact you to make you aware of special promotions or offers that you may be interested in.
Offer and Promotions All offers and specials are subject to availability STM reserve the right to change/alter or modify special offers at our discretion. Prommotions offered in store and on the web may differ from time to time.
