Order Live Corals and Grazers
At STM we pride ourselves on offering the best of quality of corals and grazers. We have been shipping live stock for many years and pride ourselves on doing it right. To assist in this process we ship all live items on AM next day delivery,. This adds slightly to the cost but offers the best for the corals and grazers you can ship up to 20kg for this price. Please note that even with the best packing it is not viable to ship a single Mithrax crab or shrimp.
When selecting shipping at the checkout please make sure you change the shipping type to AM Next Day in the drop down menu.
Also when the stock arrives float the bag for at least 30 minutes to equalise the temperature and then slowly over the course of 30-40 minutes drip water from your tank into the bag to equalise temperature pH and salinity. Net the animals into the tank and discard shipping water.

Are the base grazer that should be a feature of all marine aquariums. They are very effective at keeping both rocks and glass clean from unwanted algae and bacterial films. Use at the rate of one per gallon or higher. It is important to keep grazing pressure high in newly established aquariums, as with all things in life when it comes to algae control prevention is better than cure.

STM Super Grazers
Although the common turbo snail is an excellent grazer, it is important to offer the broadest range of grazing pressure especially in newer tanks. Trochus species eat a range of algaes and will graze the rocks for diatom films and hair algae. In fact if the hair algae is cropped short by physical removal, then adding sufficient Trochus species to the tank will help to keep this under control.

Cerith Snails
When we originally started to feature these snails they were a little lost in the noise that surrounded the hyper active and highly motile Nassarius snail. Having now had them on the farm working away for the last year, we are extremely pleased with the amount such a small snail can graze. They are excellent as a general grazer and help keep it mown down and tidy. When resting they will burrow in to the substrate, which helps to keep it all moving.

Nassarius Snails
Nassarius are a small snail that has become almost legendary, for its voracious appetite and its sand burrowing activities. They are highly recommended by leading commentators like Dr Ron Shimek. In fact even we were amazed at their grazing ability and appetite, they are a preferred grazer to red leg crabs by many, as they consume the waste only and not the micro fauna that inhabits deep sand beds. Also by using Nassarius as a replacement or alternative to red legs you save the problems of Red Legs predating snails. Once they have eaten their fill they will bury themselves in the sand, with just their proboscis showing waiting for more waste to fall to bottom. This action also helps in keeping sand beds in movement and forms an essential part of a deep sand ecosystem. Highly rated use at the rate of 1 per two gallons.
