The Turboflotor I 400 is a compact skimmer with a rectangular cross section that is designed to fit inside an aquarium. By fitting the extension kit (included) it can be used with stress bars up to 4 cm wide. It can either be fixed with silicone adhesive to the aquarium glass or mounted on its optional feet (included)
The skimmer is driven by the powerful AQ 1200 pump, with a power uptake of only 12 W, fitted with the patented Aqua Medic Needle Wheel producing a dry, concentrated foam. The foam production can be adjusted by moving the foam cup up or down.

The Turboflotor Blue 3000 is designed for installation in any mode:
- as a “hang on”, it is simply hung over the edge of the aquarium. Only the venturi pump is inside the tank.
- in the cabinet, it can be installed inside or outside the filter sump.
At only 58 cm (c. 23 in) high, it is sized to fit nearly every standard aquarium cabinet.

They close the gap between the Turboflotor 1000 multi – for aquaria up to 500 litre (150 gal) and the Turboflotor 5000 baby for aquaria from 1000 - 2000 litre 250 - 500 gal). The water supply to the skimmer requires a second pump with a capacity of minimum 2000 l/h (500 gph). The skimmer may also be directly connected to the overflow of the aquarium. In this case it is recommended that a bypass be installed to control the water flow to the skimmer, especially if powerful return pumps are used.
