	Maricultured Acropora Maricultured Acropora Mariculture or ocean farmed is an important step forward on the road to sustainability. It combines both the conservational benefits of farmed corals as well as supplying income to indigenous peoples. This is an extremely important aspect, as if all corals were farmed on land it would have the effect of moving collectors and workers supplying the hobby to look at sources of income with far more damaging impact to the reefs. We have seen a few early maricultured samples in the past, when the project was in its early stages. The final product has exceeded our expectations in terms of quality health, and colour. If you are looking for nice sps corals for your tank then you will be hard pushed to find this quality elsewhere, combined with the sustainability factor and you have a coral that looks great and makes a difference. 	Acropora Acropora Species Considered by many to be the king of corals, their shape colour and diversity is fascinating. These stoney reef building corals form a large part of many natural reefs. Given the correct conditions these corals are fast growing and a very attractive coral for any reef tank. Although there are hundreds of species, shapes and varieties for internet shopping we offer a couple of options to choose from. 	Acropora Brown Brown Acropora Although this perhaps undersells what is a lovely coral many pieces of acropora will be varying shades of brown or faun. Interestingly many of these corals will change colour dependent on the aquarium and conditions they are in. So what starts off as one colour may develop colour in a different environment.
